While the player looks good and clean I was unable to play any of my mkv files that previously worked with VLC Media Player. The few Avi files i tried, which worked previously, did not have any sound output. I do not know if it is the player or my sound card, but i do know that GOM's inability to play the files I have, along with its packaging of other software products, all of which are optional, makes this a player with a rank of about 3.
